I photographed a retirement celebration a few weeks ago at Port 305 in Marina Bay. I'm embarrassed to say that I have never been to Marina Bay. Yes...I have lived in Boston my entire life and the was my first time visiting. The location is gorgeous! The views by the water are great and Port 305 is a cool venue for shooting. Needless to say, its on my list to visit in the warmer months.
Summer 2019 is quickly fading into the shadows as fall emerges. Every September I ask...'what happened to summer?' as we quickly settle into the back to school routine. Our nights are yet again filled with homework checking, lunch bag packing and laying out uniforms. Mornings greet us with a chill as we make our way out the door with bags and backpacks in tow. As we say farewell to summer, I am thankful for all that transpired and am looking forward to a new season.
We ended June with a family vacation in N. Conway NH. For 4 days and 3 nights, we laughed, ate, drank and had a blast!
Last Saturday I spent the afternoon capturing a very special day for some very special people. Rachel and Bryan are expecting their first bundle of joy in one short month! Family and friends came out in celebration of the joyous event and to shower the excited parents-to-be. The day was even more special because they are part of my family. Watching my nephew Bryan mature from a toddler who spent Little People's Weekend with me at college into a husband and soon-to-be father is amazing! I am so proud of him, and so excited for him and Rachel as they embark upon this new chapter. I can't wait for my niece to arrive!!!
Take a moment to view a few sweet images from the day. See the full gallery here.
Birthdays are wonderful occasions to celebrate and have a good time. Last weekend, we did just that! My Aunt Jo-Alice turned 66 years young and her daughter Timmi hosted family and friends for the afternoon. In the invitation, Timmi issued a cautionary warning that it was not a party, but rather cake and ice cream. In reality, I knew...and everyone else knew it was a party!
My Aunt was beaming in a beautiful gold dress.
Everyone had a great time catching up as some of my Aunt's favorite soul music played in the background.
The highlight of the afternoon was the wonderful surprise given by two of the sweetest little girls at the party. They presented Jo-Alice with birthday cards made by hand! So sweet!
And we can't forget a birthday kiss from Timmi and LaCarl! :-)
